The aim of the project is to develop several innovative technologies for diagnostics and prognostics of tumor and mitochondrial disease. In process of industrial research somatic mutations associated with breast cancer therapy response and mRNA expression profiles associated with pituitary adenoma clinical parameters will be identified. During further experimental development four diagnostic tests will be elaborated: 1) detection of therapeutically significant somatic mutations in tumor biopsies of breast cancer patients, 2) identification of heritable mutations for melanoma risk prognostics 3) RNA expression test for therapy selection for pituitary tumors and 4) test for genetic diagnostics of mitochondrial pathologies. Developed methods and tests will be available for licencing for application in novel diagnostic services.
