In the exhibition 12 modern Latvian scientists will be honored



On Tuesday, January 7, in the Latvian National Library will open an exhibition titled “Science for Latvia” which summarises the stories of 12 current Latvian scientists and their achievements among whom is the leading researcher of the Latvian Biomedical Research and Studies Centre Dr.biol. Dace Pjanova.

The exhibition will hear about logotherapists Baibu Trinīti, physicists Artūru Vrubļevski, Kārli Dreimani and Guntaru Kitenbergu, food researcher Ilgu Gedrovicu, molecular biology researcher Daci Pjanovu, computer scientists Mārci Pinni, medical law researcher Karinu Palkovu, wood chemists Jāni Rižikovu, lawyers Allu Pozdņakovu, and researcher in electronics Armandu Šenfeldu.

All these scientists have agreed to explain the importance of science for the whole year, both for promoting economic development and for exploring and preserving cultural heritage. They will participate in a variety of events where the importance and science will be explained as value”, informed Ministries of Education and Science Deputy Secretary of State Dmitrijs Stepanovs.
